RFP for Customer Service Training

SJVLS has issued an RFP for customer service training for the SJVLS IT staff and Administrative Libarian. Details can be found on the Vendor information page.  The closing date of the RFP is November 13, 2013 at 3 PM.

SmartPay temporarily down - fixed

Network Solutions is back up, and SmartPay should be working again.


Preoverdue notices broken - now fixed

Update - the Preoverdue program has been fixed and today's notices were emailed just after noon.

The preoverdue notice program was broken in the move to the new server and database version.  We are working on the problem, but have no estimated fix time.

Horizon migration done, OK to login

We are finished with the move to the new server.  Please pace your logins, i.e, don't rush to login all workstations at a branch.  Report problems immediately through the nomal channels.

SmartPay upgrade

Update 9/26 - There were some snags with the custom programming, so we have been rolled back to our previosly installed version.  There is no scheduled date/time to retry the upgrade at this time.

Update 9/25, 9:13 AM - There has been no word from the vendor, and no indication of test transactions, so we are assuming that the work has been postponed and that it is OK to use SmartPay.

Posted 9/24:The SmartPay online payment system will be down for upgrades on Wednesday, 9/25 between 6 AM and 9 AM.


Power outage Friday, 9/13

Power was out to the SJVLS datacenter from 6 PM Friday evening, 9/13 until 8 AM Saturday morning, 9/14.  Most computer/network services had been restored by 9 AM.  There are no known problems with SJVLS services resulting from the outage, but patrons were unable to renew materials online or via Telephone messaging during the outage period.
