Public Access Computers
The Tulare Public Library provides free public access to the Internet as part of its mission to deliver services and materials to meet the information needs of all citizens. The time limit is one hour per day maximum per customer. Customers are required to have a valid San Joaquin Valley Library System Card. All fines and fees must be "paid in full" before a card holder may use the Internet. There is a printing charge of 10 cents a page on our black and white printer. No personal paper allowed.
Also, available at the Tulare Public Library is the Reservation Computer Terminal. Customers must be present and are required to have their valid San Joaquin Valley Library System Card to make a reservation up to a day in advance for any of the Public Access Computers.
In an attempt to block access to Internet sites which display obscene material, the Tulare Public Library contracts with a vendor that utilizes a proxy server to deny access to URLs that have been identified as containing inappropriate content in order to eliminate obscene material. It is important to note that the Tulare Public Library has no control over the quality or accuracy of the information found on the Internet.
