Question Referral
Libraries who are members of the Heartland Regional Library Network or the San Joaquin Valley Library System can submit reference questions to the San Joaquin Valley Information Service to be worked on by our staff of reference librarians. Reference questions are submitted to SJVIS when the referring library does not have the time or the resources necessary for finding an answer. SJVIS uses the print and electronic resources of the Fresno County Public Library, California State University, Fresno and the Los Angeles Public Library to answer questions. We will frequently contact other libraries, museums, archives, government agencies, associations, and other information agencies and experts for assistance.
Select from the following menu of subject areas. If none of these apply, select "general".
| Artists | Sheet Music | Quotations | Law | Vehicle Repair | Poetry | General |
Access is restricted to Heartland members. Contact SJVIS for user name and password. When submitting any request, please refer to the subject links to further clarify the sources you have checked and assure that you provide complete and accurate information.
