Our Vision: Through the leadership and cooperative efforts of the San Joaquin Valley Library System the public libraries of the region will provide effective and high-quality services to meet the informational, recreational, self-educational, and cultural needs of users. Our Values: SJVLS is committed to a group of core values which shape our service priorities. These values are the bedrock on which our long range goals and our daily operations are based.
  • Quality service should be available in all locations.
  • Well-trained staff are essential to quality service.
  • Sharing resources improves the service of all libraries, regardless of size.
  • Libraries with greater fiscal constraints should not be left behind better funded neighbors in acquisition of technology or services.
  • Facilitating patron use of other libraries is important, but so is maintaining each library's individual service identity.

SJVLS does not provide direct service to the public. Contact your member library, listed above, for assistance using SJVLS services.
